A THREE-PART JOURNEY OF THE BASICS – Three consecutive Tuesdays starting September 29th
Journey to the Land of Fermentation with Colleen Emery, Master Herbalist of Emery Herbals as she shares the basic fundamentals of fermentation. You may join us for one or two classes or the series of three.
CLASS ONE: Theme: Kombucha, Tibicos, Jun and other fermented beverages. Through a series of demonstrations and hands on activities participants will leave with a live culture and skills needed to be ready to brew at home. Samples of several delicious beverages will be provided.
CLASS TWO: Yoghurt, Kefir, Labneh and Sour Cream, Crème Fraîche and others. In this class we will demo kefir and labneh and will have participants help in the process of this. In the later part of class we will have a fermented feast of various kinds of fermented milk (goat and cow) products to sample.
CLASS THREE: Lacto-Fermented Demonstrations of various veggies ferments will be conducted plus hands on preparation of a batch of kraut that the participants will share in and take a portion home.
