Aging in the Kootenays

We are fourth year nursing students at Selkirk College in Castlegar. We are currently working on a research assignment with the Rural Development Institute (RDI) and Nelson CARES to learn about the health care needs of Nelson seniors.

We are asking Nelson seniors aged 55+ to participate by completing a survey online OR filling in a paper copy, which we can provide. We are also happy to fill in the survey in person with individual seniors and can meet interested seniors at Nelson CARES or in their homes so that they don’t have to travel.

All information is confidential and will only be used to make Nelson a more age friendly community and to improve health care services for our senior population. The information that is taken from the completed surveys will not be linked to the participants in any way. The information you provide us will not be shared with Interior Health or the government.
